Tips for adding to channels: Add Coffee Talk to your General team channel to include the whole company. If you would like to test Coffee Talk in a smaller group, we recommend at least 6 people in the group for matching purposes.
An example introduction:
Hello All! We are rolling out a new way to meet with and get to know your teammates! Coffee Talk is an app that will match you with another teammate and help you schedule a time to take a break and have a Coffee Talk with someone you may not have gotten to know well yet.
You will see a notification go out asking you to fill in your Profile Details. You can add interests there but it is not required.
Tomorrow you will receive a list of people you can select to meet with. If you do not want to meet, just don’t select anyone and you will not be scheduled.
Once you connect, the app will suggest times to meet and you and your teammate can meet at a time that works best for you.
The chats will run every two weeks, so if you miss this one, you can try again the next round.
If you do not wish to participate, you can mute notifications by going to the app (under Apps at the bottom of the Slack menu), clicking on the name of the app and clicking on the notification bell to silence it. (You can do this with any Slack app).
