Maps: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Maps, in our workspace! Add your home office and upcoming travel plans so we can create our Team Map. You can see everyone’s home office location, view upcoming travel and coordinate meetups, and create Slack channels with folks in your area. Note: it does not track your location. Celebrations: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Celebrations, in our workspace to automate birthday and work anniversary card delivery. To get started, add your birthday and work anniversary. You can go to the app Home tab (lower left of Slack under “Apps”) to sign cards for upcoming celebrations or create custom celebration cards. Participation is voluntary and you can easily opt-out by going to "Edit my Birthday" and checking the opt-out box. You can access FAQs here.
Icebreakers: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Icebreakers, to automate and encourage team-building in Slack! You can create an Icebreaker, schedule it, and add it to any Slack channel. It will remind everyone in the channel to respond, and all responses will post at the same time in a thread. Here is a demo of how it works, and you can access FAQs here.
Intros: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Intros, to automate introductions and get to know each other better. You can add an Intros question template to any Slack channel. Please fill out your Intro via our new template in the #welcome channel. Looking forward to learning more about everyone!
Shoutouts: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Shoutouts, to easily give each other recognition. With this Slack app, we can send kudos to our teammates to recognize them. You can also nominate someone for a Shoutout and send it to leadership for approval. Use the shortcut /Shoutout in Slack to access the template and give a Shoutout using AI.
Coffee Talk: Hey team, we installed a fun new app, Coffee Talk, in #coffee to automate virtual coffee chats. This app will help us get to know each other better by connecting you with coworkers and suggesting times to meet. To get started, go to the Coffee Talk app (lower left of Slack under “Apps”) and add your matching profile. You can connect your calendar to sync your availability!
